Shipping FAQ

United Kingdom

We ship via DHL Express Domestic Courier and Royal Mail. Delivery times can vary between 1 and 3 days depending on the service chosen.

Royal Mail 1st Class is an untracked service. If you require tracking and a guaranteed delivery time frame, choose Royal Mail Tracked 24 or DHL Domestic Express. If you are concerned about the security of your packages, choose 1st Class Signed For or DHL Domestic Express. DHL Domestic Express has the additional benefit of real-time delivery updates and the option to make alternative delivery arrangements if you will not be at home.

We ship Monday to Friday. UK orders placed before 2 pm on weekdays are shipped the same day. UK orders placed after 2 pm are shipped the following weekday.

If you have chosen a tracked service, you will receive a tracking number for your item once your order has been processed and is ready to be shipped. If you haven’t received a tracking number, check your spam folder. Alternatively, you can retrieve your tracking number by logging into your Urbanomic account.

Customers are responsible for shipping fees associated with resending packages that have been returned to us after multiple attempted deliveries.

International

We ship from the UK via DHL Express International Courier and Deutsche Post Global Mail. The time frames given by Deutsche Post Global Mail are ‘delivery aims’ only and items can take longer to arrive. If your order is time sensitive, choose DHL Express International Courier. As well as being the fastest and most secure option, DHL Express provides real-time delivery updates and the option to make alternative delivery arrangements if you will not be at home. This is the best value service for shipments to the US in particular and is substantially faster than Deutsche Post.

We ship Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Orders placed before 10 am GMT/BST on these days will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 10 am GMT/BST will be shipped the following shipping day.

You will receive a tracking number for your item once your order has been processed and is ready to be shipped. Please note that tracking numbers can take up to 48 hours to become active. If you haven’t received a tracking number, check your spam folder. Alternatively, you can retrieve your tracking number by logging into your Urbanomic account.

Please be aware that, depending on your country’s import regulations, you may be required to pay customs tax on items received from the UK.

China

Deutsche Post is only offering an untracked service at this time.

Here is the latest update from Deutsche Post Global Mail (May 2022): ‘Please be advised that you should expect longer transit times when sending parcels to China, and that we cannot specify the extent of any delays. We currently expect the Chinese postal service—once the lockdowns have been lifted—to begin processing any backlogs without generating tracking events and proof of delivery. Unfortunately, we cannot predict at this time how long a shipment will take until final delivery. Because our colleagues at DHL Express operate their own delivery network, they are generally able to handle and coordinate shipment volumes with greater flexibility at this time. If you´re are looking for more plannable shipping alternatives, we kindly ask that you use DHL Express.’

Australia and New Zealand

There are significant delays to Australia and New Zealand at present.

Here is the latest update from Deutsche Post Global Mail (April 2022): ‘Transport capacities to Australia and New Zealand remain considerably reduced, so that the dispatch of letters and parcels can only be maintained under special measures. We are continuing to forward mail using a combination of air freight and sea freight but long transit times should be expected. The transit time is furthermore affected by the duration of import customs clearance at the ports and currently amounts to 40 days or more for shipments with destination Australia. To New Zealand, a transit time of 50 days and longer is to be expected. This information is subject to change at short notice.’
